We established our custom made division for ladies in 1959. Since then, the company has acquired a prestige reputation for custom-tailor for both men & ladies.

Custom-tailored clothes for ladies and men are totally different. It requires different concepts in selecting fabrics and styles, different experience in developing paper pattern and different requirement on craftsmanship, etc. If author-psychologist John Gray is correct and men are from Mars and women from Venus, you can well understand why the needs of a feminine body are dramatically different from a man's.

Hence our ladies section is a unique entity. In August 1987 we named our ladies section as IRENE FASHIONS, a division of W.W.Chan & Sons Tailor Ltd.

Irene Fashions offers a large selection of latest fabrics, which include pure silk, silk and wool, pure linen, silk and linen, cotton, superfine wool and cashmere, etc. Our collection includes the fabrics from the world's most outstanding fabric houses or mills, such as Ermenegildo Zegna, Boussac, Loro Piana, and Dormeuil, etc.

These are the same mills which provide the fabrics to the French couture and are responsible for the creations made by Europe's finest design houses. We also carry couture fabrics bought directly from the designers through their mill resources, such as fabrics from Valentino Garavani.

Our in-house designers can sketch any fashion styles you have in mind. You are welcome to bring in magazine clippings, your own sketch or some garments you want to be copied. We have a large selection of latest fashion magazines and stylebooks for you to select the styles.

Our experienced designers will provide you opinions on what colors look good with the color of your skin and hair. We will give you advice on what kind of styles will look good on your figure and what fabric goes well with that style, etc. Your job is to tell us your preference, whether you want to look conservation, classic or trendy. The more we know about you, the better the garment will suit you.

The Basics

You will be measured and fitted by the same designer and he will follow the whole procedure of creation-- from sketching the style, measuring, fitting, alteration and to completion of the garment. With Irene Fashion, you are working with some experts in designing as well as in custom tailoring.

To maintain highest possible quality of workmanship, every item of our work is cut and tailored in our own workshops. Most of the work is even made on the premises.

We can make almost any apparel but we are better in woven fabrics clothing then knitted apparels. We specialized in custom-made coat, suit, jacket, slacks, skirt, blouse, dress and evening dress.
